Does your teen spend every spare minute writing stories?

We’ve seen it time and time again. She fills notebook after notebook with new characters and plots. He dreams of seeing his name on a book cover someday. And you want nothing more than to support that passion—but you’re not a writer yourself, and the publishing world feels like a complete mystery.

You’re asking yourself questions like:

  • What steps should my child be taking right now to prepare for a writing career?
  • How does traditional publishing actually work?
  • Are we already behind? Should my kid be doing something we’re missing?
  • How can I guide them when I don’t understand the industry myself?
  • Is writing even a viable career? I don’t want my child to become a starving artist!

You’re not alone. Most parents of aspiring authors feel exactly the same way.

About Us

Your free Road to Publishing Guide was developed by a team of industry professionals who walk this road every day and are committed to helping young authors establish successful writing careers.

Here are a few of the programs we run:

The Author Conservatory is a comprehensive three-year college alternative program that equips aspiring novelists with both the writing craft and business skills needed to build sustainable careers as authors. Our students work directly with award-winning published authors and successful entrepreneurs while completing novels and building their author platforms.

The Young Writer Honors Academy is an intensive one-year preparatory program designed for serious high school writers (typically juniors and seniors) who want to master the craft of storytelling while earning academic credit and preparing for advanced training. Students receive regular feedback while learning how to submit to publications and contests.

The Young Writer’s Workshop is our online membership community for teen writers where students develop their craft alongside peers who share their passion. Members receive monthly training from published authors, participate in writing challenges, and gain foundational knowledge about the publishing industry.

Our faculty includes award-winning authors, professional editors, and experienced entrepreneurs—all committed to mentoring the next generation of Christian storytellers from a biblical perspective.

Our students have earned recognition from prestigious institutions including:

  • Scholastic Art & Writing Awards
  • Realm Awards
  • Christy Awards
  • NPR’s Best Books

Many of our students have already secured contracts with top literary agents and publishers—proof that our approach to writing education works.
