Discover the Next Generation of Christian Storytellers…

Featuring Eden Joy

Growing up, Eden Joy navigated the love and loss of walking alongside over a dozen bonus siblings through foster care and Safe Families for Children. Now she crafts wholesome, fantastical stories about characters longing for a better world and striving to make a difference in the meantime. She writes for teens needing to feel seen in the hurting, the helping, and the hoping. When she’s not writing, editing, or curating Pinterest boards for her books, Eden can be found working at her local library, rock climbing, learning a language, or crushing her family and friends at word games.
About Her Short Story
Twelve year-old Thomas and his younger brother and sister are trying to help their Cuban foster brother adjust to staying in the US until it’s safe enough for him to return to his parents, but the only thing he’ll open up about is his love for Cuban food.
With his birthday in two days, the siblings embark on a quest to make his favorite dessert. They just never expected to be helped by a magical monkey guardian and find community in their own town, while helping their brother find his.
