Discover the Next Generation of Christian Storytellers…
Featuring Kira Rosengren
Having experienced a tragic loss at a young age and also undergoing a full spinal fusion in her teens, Kira Rosengren loves writing stories of strength in dark times that show you you’re not alone in your struggles. When she isn’t working at her housecleaning or tutoring business or plugging away at homework, Kira is listening to any and all kinds of music or binge watching a period drama or mystery television show.
About Her Short Story
16-year-old Adanaya Shane is navigating the second Thanksgiving since her grandmother passed away. Her grandmother and her had always talked about traveling, but those dreams were crushed when Grandma died.
Feeling it would be dishonorable to her memory to travel when she couldn’t go with her grandmother, Adanaya refuses to give into her wanderlust. But when she goes to her grandparents house for Thanksgiving she comes face to face with the grief she’s been pushing down and has to make a choice—will she stay in her small town, leading a life she hates, or will she push past her grief and travel around the world like the characters in the stories Grandma would always read to her?
