Discover the Next Generation of Christian Storytellers…

The seventh edition of Voices of the Future weaves together short stories of strength and sacrifice in a memorable and heartwarming collection. Experience the next generation’s creativity and vision through tales from rising young creatives.

Featuring Micaiah Keough

Micaiah swears storytelling runs in her veins—that and saltwater. She grew up in Hawaii and spent countless hours outdoors risking life and limb with her siblings, so she’s no stranger to everyday adventure . . . and the fears that creep in despite courage. She writes uplifting stories to bolster the faith and bravery of those who, like her, long for light and hope even in hard times. When not spinning tales, she’s likely sipping a vanilla latte, traveling with friends to discover new settings for her novels (preferably by an ocean), and spending time with her family.

About Her Short Story

Chasing Clocks

Reuben Byrne may not be able to fill the shoes his older brother left behind—but he can show his little brother, Robbie, how much he cares about him. The plan? Risk suspension by sneaking off school grounds, traveling to London on the afternoon train, and purchasing the golden pocket watch Robbie desperately wants for his birthday.
But a slew of challenges might be enough to derail the whole grand idea. In the end, Reuben must make a choice…and hope his sacrifice is enough to mend things with Robbie, in spite of losing the brother who held them together.
