Discover the Next Generation of Christian Storytellers…
Featuring Talia Rodriquez

Living in six houses across four states before the age of twelve, Talia Rodriquez found a home in her overactive imagination. Using lightsabers, LEGOs, and a pinch of pixie dust, she first explored her creativity while playing with her four siblings. Now, she writes whimsical YA stories that offer belonging to girls battling everyday insecurities. Infusing a spark of wonder into every story, she inspires readers to overcome their own struggles. When not creating mini dragons to fix plot holes, she’s likely sharing coffee with friends, making kids laugh, or singing every word of “I’ve Got a Dream” from Tangled.

About Her Short Story
The Butterfly Tree by Talia Rodriquez
Eight-year-old Eislyn misses Daddy and counts the minutes until he’ll pass the butterfly tree on his trip. If she doesn’t meet him there, she can’t give him the paper butterfly she colored! However, when Mommy has to stay behind and care for sick siblings, seeing Daddy means lighting the lanterns along the path with just her dragon, Flicker, for support. With the night blacker than she anticipated, will Eislyn shy away from the dark? Or overcome her fear to meet Daddy at the tree with glowing butterflies instead of leaves?
