A.D. Having grown up as an eccentric kid, and adult, Andy knows what it’s like to feel different and to go through challenging life circumstances. The stories he writes focus on children, mainly animals, who often feel like they are on the outside looking in, but as they go on daring adventures they begin to understand how loved they truly are by those around them. When not writing, Andy loves watching cartoons, drinking coffee, and continuing to celebrate that he was able to overcome cancer when he was in college.

The Tale of Beaux Stripe by A.D. Garcia
10-year-old Beaux Stripe is a shy skunk who feels he has a hard time fitting in while he loves to read. When his friend from school, Marianne Greengrass, invites him to her birthday party, she asks him if he would be willing to plan one of the party games they will play. Though he feels intimidated, Beaux agrees to help, but feels unsure of what everyone would enjoy doing as he doesn’t know his classmates well enough that he worries they won’t enjoy themselves. Will Beaux be able to come up with a great idea for a party game or will he come up with something that really stinks?
