Discover the Next Generation of Christian Storytellers…
Featuring A.J.V. Lewis

Alexandra Lewis’s writing journey started in front of a TV playing Little Women. As Jo March tied up her manuscript with ribbon and a red flower, Alexandra said “I wanna do that!” and ran off to find paper. Spoiler: She never did tie her manuscript up like Jo. But she did keep telling stories. Now, Alexandra writes YA novels about finding hope and joy amid life’s trials—much like Jo did. When she’s not writing, Alexandra is either exhaustively researching her latest obsession, spending too much money on books, or ‘Gathering’ to watch movies with her sisters.

About Her Short Story
Frost and Flame by A. J. V. Lewis
Quinn’s fire magic has always been different from the other elves in the Workshop. When his grandfather, Nicholas, grows fatally ill, that difference becomes clearer than ever.
The only way to save Nicholas is by traveling to visit the legendary Jack Frost, and to win a wish from him. The problem? In order to win that wish, Quinn has to battle Jack Frost’s water goblin.
Anyone else’s snow magic could freeze the goblin or trap it inside a box of ice. Quinn’s magic seems useless against a creature made of magical water.
But only Quinn can win a wish that will save Nicholas.
Will he find a way to defeat the goblin? Or will faulty magic cost him the last chance he has to heal his grandfather?
