Megan is a firm believer that dog kisses can cure any book hangover. When she’s not writing she loves playing board games with her family, sipping peppermint tea, growing pumpkins in her garden, scrapbooking with old postcards, and capturing her life story with her camera.

About Her Short Story
The Girl Made of Pages by Megan Amor
Winie is a paper doll. She came in a box for Hazel on her seventh birthday, and now, always rides in Hazel’s suitcase. Hazel loves to take Winie everywhere. But Winie knows what can happen to paper–it can rip, burn, and turn to mush when it gets wet. When she is not in Hazel’s arms, she is in her suitcase house, where nothing will happen to her paper body or her folded paper skirts.
On their way home from a friend’s birthday picnic, Hazel and Winie see a rainstorm coming. Hoping to avoid the rain, they take a shortcut through the forest. But, Hazel falls down an abandoned well. They’re trapped, with no way to get help, except for Winie–she can climb out the well and save her human friend, Hazel. That is, if she doesn’t turn to paper mush in the rain.
How can a doll made of the most fragile material of this world ever make a difference? And how can she hope to save Hazel?

Has written over six young adult fantasy novels in the last five years, along with a short story and flash fiction.

From ages six to twelve she wrote five short stories that won first and second place award medals for the Young Author’s Competition.
