Discover the Next Generation of Christian Storytellers…

The fifth edition of Voices of the Future weaves together short stories of bravery and belonging in a memorable and heartwarming collection. Experience the next generation’s creativity and vision through these brief tales from rising young creatives.

Featuring Shannae Grace

After years of representing New South Wales in Synchronised Ice Skating, Shannae Grace knows how to take a fall—and get back up again. Now, she writes magical stories of persistent hope and defying the darkness. When a lifetime of unconventional schooling landed her in university at age sixteen, she was drawn to stories of young people challenging expectations and defeating every obstacle to achieve the impossible. When she’s not arguing with her characters, you can find her hunting for the most aesthetic desserts or plotting to freeze Australia’s Sydney Harbour so she can ice skate beneath the Harbour Bridge.

About Her Short Story

The Department of Lost Things contains everything from Tangible stray socks to Intangible lost time. The catch? You can only reclaim one lost thing.

Lottie has no time for nostalgia. She doesn’t miss her old best friend, but she does miss the apple pie recipe they created together. So, she finds herself in the Department of Lost Things. But as she discovers everything she lost when she and her best friend drifted apart, she is torn.

If you could reclaim the dream you forgot you had or the friendship you lost, which would you pick?
