Discover the Next Generation of Christian Storytellers…

This third edition of Voices of the Future weaves together short stories of healing and home in a memorable and heartwarming collection. Experience the next generation’s creativity and vision through tales from rising young creatives.

Featuring Zach Sollie

Zach Sollie has battled the monster of anxiety and depression for over a decade. Now, whether he’s writing a middle-grade adventure or an epic fantasy, Zach is motivated by three primary things:

1. Entertaining people, especially making them laugh, is real-life magic.

2. No matter how dark things get “Even darkness must pass. A new day will come.” (Thanks Samwise!)

3. Outsiders have a place to belong.

In his free time, you can find Zach playing tabletop games, donning a new costume for the Renaissance Festival, or wishing sarcasm and movie trivia were marketable skills.

About His Short Story

When the gods plant a Glass Tree at the edge of the Withering Wood, it’s a race among mortals to see who can reach the tree first. And Rylan, still grieving the loss of his little sister, must be the one if he’s to gain the gift of healing from the Tree.

But a complication arises when he crosses paths with Emie, a teenage girl who’s after the tree to gain the approval of her family. Seeing both himself and his sister in her, Rylan lets Emie tag along as they seek the Tree. But in the end, only one can receive the blessing from the gods.
