Introducing our Eighth Author Conservatory Anthology

Dec 2, 2025 | Student Spotlights

Today, the Author Conservatory launches their eight anthology, Voices of the Future Volume 8: Stories of Myth & Memory.

The ten authors featured in this collection have spent the past year developing a publication-worthy project to be released as part of their Author Conservatory capstone project. The program’s fiction writing team provides expert mentorship and critique, coaching students through each phase of the development and drafting process as well as multiple rounds of editing. Each student receives a manuscript assessment from professional editors, making this publication the highest level of skill and creativity reached so far.

This eighth Author Conservatory anthology weaves together short stories of myth and memory, a theme which spans multiple genres and allows readers to experience the next generation of fiction from young creatives enrolled in the Conservatory’s fiction program.

These authors include:

  • Megan Amor | “The Girl Made of Pages”
  • Karissa Chmil | “At the Crossroads of Adventure”
  • James Noller | “Son of the Evening Star”
  • Caleb Renich | “Captain of the Moonlight”
  • Ashley Dewick | In Melody’s Memory
  • Kara Hatt | “Surface Protocol: Avoid All Water”
  • Megan Walters | “Summer Stones”
  • Nicole Elsierose | “Like A Child”
  • Lauren Thomae | “Nibbles & Bytes”
  • E.C. Colton | “Before Today Fades”

Aside from their professional writing skills, The Author Conservatory equips students with the skills necessary for launching their careers with momentum. The program’s syllabus combines mastering the fundamentals of fiction writing with necessary business and marketing skills for a successful career in writing.

The anthology release provides students with invaluable launch experience comparable to a professional book launch.

100% of anthology sales go toward helping these students and their classmates attend writing conferences, where they can pitch their novels to agents and publishers. Additionally, these conferences offer opportunities for aspiring authors to receive feedback and career coaching from other industry professionals.
