Amber Ginter Johnson, an Author Conservatory alumna, has announced her debut nonfiction devotional, Psalms in the Dark, with WaterBrook, an imprint of Penguin Random House, to be released in Summer 2027.
Two years ago, Johnson left an English teaching position to pursue writing full time. Shortly after, she signed with the Blythe Daniel Agency. After two years of submissions, Johnson signed a publishing contract with the largest global traditional publisher.

In her contract announcement, Johnson thanked Brett Harris and Jaquelle Ferris, founders of The Author Conservatory’s nonfiction program. She thanked them for “encouraging me to never lose sight of the harvest… for loving me well and believing in me when I couldn’t believe in myself.”
