The SparkLit Awards recognize and encourage excellence in Australian Christian writing and publishing.

The judges had this to say about Shannae’s story: “This engaging allegory explores the role of the church in reaching the lost. The author has created convincing characters and a coherent fantasy world that comfortably and naturally hosts big theological and missiological themes.”

You can watch Shannae accept the award and speak on stage from 51:10 to 54:15 of the awards livestream.

Shannae is a Year Three student who started the program in 2021. We’re so proud of what she’s accomplished with her writing as she does her final year in the program and looks forward to graduation.

After winning the award, Shannae said, “It was so encouraging to be in a room of other Australian authors who love Jesus just as much as I do. I am so grateful I got to take part in this award and I am excited to keep writing and see where God takes me.”
