Hollis Wakefield, an Author Conservatory alumna, has signed with Trident Media Group for literary representation in early August. The fantasy author enrolled as a student in The Author Conservatory four years ago, where she learned writing craft and business skills from world-class industry professionals. She graduated from the program in September 2025 with four completed novel manuscripts and a marketing management business for authors.

Wakefield attended Realm Makers this summer, where she pitched two agents and received manuscript requests from each one. She also received book proposal requests from two publishers. A publisher referred her to Mark Gottlieb with Trident Media Group, who Wakefield initially pitched to in the Realm Makers hotel lobby.

Trident offered to represent Wakefield in July; soon after, another agent offered representation. On August 5, Wakefield accepted Trident’s offer. They immediately sent Wakefield’s manuscript on submission to publishing houses.

Trident Media Group was founded in 2000 and is one of New York City’s leading literary agencies. They specialize in fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, and children’s books of all genres.

Hollis Wakefield is the author of The Rose-Tinted Glasses, a short story featured in “Voices of the Future: Stories of Whimsy & Warriors.” She writes classic-inspired adult fantasy packed with action and twists. She graduated from The Author Conservatory in 2025 with dual certificates in Creative Writing & Publishing and Business & Entrepreneurship. In spring 2026, Wakefield signed a single-contract agreement with Rachel Kent from Books & Such for a ghostwriting contract for a music artists with an audience of over two million.
